Faith In Action Sunday

Faith in Action Sunday always takes place on the last Sunday in September.  The call is instead of going to church to instead be the church.  In September 2018 brunch was prepared and taken to EMTs, fire stations, and police stations for  First responders.  Other volunteers went to a local laundry and left bags with laundry pods in sacks labeled Loads of Love to help people to do their laundry. Sixty bags were taken to the laundry mat.  183 bags were packed with food to give to VISTO for Back Pack program.  Continuing our card ministry, enough thinking of you cards were prepared that we were able to take provide cards for three rest homes in town.  This year Faith In Action Sunday will be on September 22.  We will have the VISTO Back Pack program again.  We also will be going to two nursing homes to provide music during their church services.  A third project is to help decorate the Edison Elementary school cafeteria for their Grandparents celebration.  We will continue our card ministry.  We also will be taking donations of dog and cat food and cat litter for the Red River SPCA as well as monetary donations.  The idea is to give back to the community and to be a part of it.  We are always open to suggestions of other ways to celebrate Faith in Action Sunday.  We would love to see you come out and be apart of this project with us!
